Wedding of the week: How a Perth couple planned their dream wedding on a tiny budget
She may have only spent $25 on her dress but 27-year-old bride Alexa Witney looked a million dollars when she married 30-year-old Kyle Bindon.
The stunning bride snagged the simple yet elegant gown from Facebook Marketplace and as luck would have it, the dress fit like a glove.
Alexa, who is from Vancouver, and her groom Kyle Bindoon eloped in a picture-perfect little white chapel in Jarrahdale and wed in the presence of just five family members after having their wedding postponed three times because of COVID-19.
And just when they thought their joy-filled day couldn’t get sweeter, Alexa discovered she was pregnant just hours before the ceremony. She shared the news with her new husband when they arrived home on their first night as Mr and Mrs Bindon.

When and where
The couple arrived in a 1969 red MGB convertible to the Anglican Parish of Serpentine-Jarrahdale and exchanged vows in a laid-back, no frills ceremony filled with an abundance of love.
Alexa was wearing a thrifted wedding dress that she bought for $25 and a borrowed veil from a close friend.
In keeping with their budget-friendly wedding, Alexa and Kyle decided on their honeymoon the day after they tied the knot. The pair hired a caravan and took their two dogs Honey and Mu along for the trip. They drove to Esperance and spent a week frolicking through the dog beaches when Alexa was just five weeks pregnant with a baby girl. They are excited to become parents in early January.
