US teen admits to killing girl AND her parents after he was caught ‘pants down’ in her bedroom

A Californian teenager killed a 16-year-old girl and her parents after they caught him with her in her bedroom.

Mauricio Johnson, 19, pleaded guilty to triple murder and received a 150-year prison sentence, the Humboldt County District Attorney said.

Johnson killed Shelly Autumn May Moon, 16, her stepfather Nikki Metcalf, 40, and mother Margarett Moon, 40, on February 9 this year.

The teenager was let into the house by “several minors” who were also at the house, the DA said in a statement.

After everyone else had gone to bed, Metcalf walked into the teenage girl’s bedroom and found Johnson there.

The teenagers were “getting intimate” and Metcalf became angry, hitting Johnson who ran out of the bedroom with his pants down, The Mercury News reports.

Johnson then pulled a 9mm handgun from his backpack and shot Metcalf.

Margarett Moon, woken by the gunshot, walked into the living room to see what was happening – and was then shot by the teenager.

Johnson said he decided to shoot the teenage girl because “he did not want to have any witnesses.”

Moon’s two other children, ages 11 and 13, were unharmed.

One called the police to report the shootings.

Johnson had fled in his mother’s car but was tracked down by police in the early hours of the following morning.

He will not be eligible for parole for 25 years.
