Duncan’s partner Tiani Grant-Williams previously described him as having “half his liver” hanging out of his body after the incident.

She rushed him to hospital, where he’s been since having undergone multiple surgeries.

Duncan spoke about the incident for the first time on Wednesday, explaining he followed the driver after allegedly seeing him drive recklessly, including tailgating the couple while they had their 18-month-old daughter in the back seat.

He said he remembered saying “I want to have a talk to that guy”.

“Got out of the car and (said), ‘mate, why the f*** are you driving like that bro?’” he said.

A scuffle ensued, during which the 21-year-old allegedly stabbed Duncan.
