Coles supermarket issues urgent NATIONWIDE recall for popular food available in Sydney, Melbourne, Australia and Online

Three different varieties of frozen pizza have been recalled from Coles over an undeclared allergen.

The supermarket issued the recall on Friday for the pizza, which is sold in stores and Coles Online across the country.

Labels on the pizza advise the products are “suitable for vegans”.

However, dairy is present in the products but not specified on the labels, prompting the recall.

The affected products include:

  • Coles Nature’s Kitchen Meat-free Hawaiian Style Pizza 250gm (all Best Before dates)
  • Coles Nature’s Kitchen Meat-free Meat Lovers Pizza 250gm (all Best Before dates)
  • Coles Nature’s Kitchen Supreme Veggie Pizza 250gm (all Best Before dates)

The affected products have been available for purchase since February 2021.

Coles issues apology

Customers who have a dairy allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if they consume the pizza.

Customers are able to return the product to Coles for a full refund.

“We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience,” Coles siad.
