CACD Hosting Virtual Event In Recognition Of International Decade For People Of African Descent


Citizens for the Advancement of Community Development is hosting a virtual recognition event, in support of the UN General Assembly Proclamation that 2015 to 2024 to be the International Decade for People of African Descent, on Nov. 27.

A Mississauga-based non-profit is hosting a Nov. 27 virtual recognition event in help of the UN Basic Meeting proclamation that 2015 to 2024 be the International Decade for People of African Descent.


Residents for the Development of Group Improvement (CACD), which is devoted to remodeling the lives of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and other people of color) youth, will host the Saturday event from 3 to eight:30 p.m. The theme of the event will likely be “People of African Descent: recognition, justice and development.”


It is going to embrace a quantity of discussions and shows on subjects reminiscent of how racism, discrimination, prejudices and hate crime affect youth in faculty, race research and racial therapeutic and the affect of systemic racism and social injustices on folks of African descent and what will be performed about it.

There may even be leisure from a number of artists and speeches from dignitaries.
