An amateur rapper has been questioned by police after an SUV plowed through a Christmas parade in the US state of Wisconsin.
Darrell Edward Brooks, who goes by the alias MathBoi Fly, was detained in Waukesha after a red Ford Escape sped through the town and ran into marchers.

At least five people were killed and forty were injured in the horror incident on Sunday.
Waukesha Police have confirmed “a person of interest” was in custody and that a press conference will be held on Tuesday morning (Australia-time).

That person is reportedly 39-year-old Brooks.
The damaged SUV was found in his driveway following the shocking incident, according to NBC News.
The same red vehicle can be seem in several music videos that were posted on his now-deleted YouTube channel.

There are reports the driver was fleeing another incident involving a knife fight when he drove into the parade route.
Brooks has a lengthy criminal record and was released on Friday after being charged with resisting or obstructing an officer, reckless endangering safety, disorderly conduct, bail jumping and battery, according to court records.
In another case dated July last year, Brooks is charged with reckless endangering and illegal possession of a firearm.
